Why Work Here?

Our skilled workforce is made up of an amazing group of people! Each one brings a mixed bag of talents to the table for the company. This includes apprenticeship trade programs which we support through employment and education in areas such as Powerline Technicians, Heavy Duty and Auto Mechanics. As well we have a wide range of professional roles in fields such as Finance, Payroll, Human Resources and Safety. In addition, we staff crews for the Telecommunications and Equipment Operators (HydroVac, Directional Drill and Bore) crews.

We strongly believe in the career advancement of our employees, and often see many people move from one area to another increasing their overall knowledge of our diversified business. This kind of movement within the company helps our people fulfill personal career goals. We encourage and support our people so that they can realize their personal career growth, understanding that this job movement is also beneficial to the company just like they are to the individual.

Please visit the Saskatchewan Apprenticeship and Trade Certification Commission Website for more information about some of the trade programs we support at HPL!

Continuous Training & Development

HPL supports and provides many trade-related regulatory training programs to our employees. This is offered both externally or internally as required; and can be in person or online learning opportunities. We also host quarterly Safety meetings to support our commitment to the Mission Zero initiative. Annually, HPL hosts a General Meeting that provides a full day of personal development. We also have our own internal Leadership Development training program that is offered to those getting ready to take that step into a leadership role.

We also support the professional roles with appropriate approved learning and development opportunities and association participation.

Following our six months’ probation period, eligible employees are able to participate in our Health Benefits plan and retirement program.

Group Health Benefits & Wellness

Currently, we partner with Maximum Benefits for our group health benefits, which is a cost-shared program between the company and our employees. We have always been happy with this partnership both in terms of the benefits offered and the ease of access to benefit information online in an easy to create and access online profile. This online profile allows all Hundseth employees to easily submit and manage their health benefit needs.
