About Levi’s Sink Helper Recipe

By: Spencer Bomboir

During my university years, a friend of mine came up with a brilliant way to spice up any old box of hamburger helper. It is a favourite in households accross Canada, and I’m sure your family will love it too!

Ingredients

  • 1 box hamburger helper
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1.5 cups hot water
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 kitchen sink

Any type of hamburger helper will do, but I prefer to use the Cheeseburger Macaroni kind. Try use whole milk if you can as well, it gets the sauce to a nice consistency. Any size of kitchen sink will work as well.

Step by Step Instructions

Step 1

Brown beef in 10- or 12-inch skillet. Remove from heat; drain.

Step 2

Stir in Sauce Mix and hot water until dissolved. Stir in milk and Pasta. Return to heat; heat to boiling.

Step 3

Reduce heat. Cover; simmer about 12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until pasta is tender. Remove from heat.

Step 4

Immediately dump the whole mixture in your sink and scoop it back into your pan with a large spoon

Step 5

Sprinkle with cheese & enjoy! Works great for lefty’s the next day as well.
